In 2011, Opana® ER with INTAC® technology1 was approved. It was briefly available in a biconvex tablet;
the tablet shape is now biconcave. There may be limited quantities of the original formulation and biconvex formulation of Opana ER at retail pharmacies.

As a prescribing healthcare professional, the way you write the prescription remains the same—
while the tablet may look different, it’s still the same medication.

The images below help illustrate the evolution of Opana® ER tablets. You can also print this information.
